# Inflatable Violence The Balloon Tank By Going Like Sixty | Published 2008-09-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inspired-art-balloon-tank-full-of-hot-air References: [ingesidee.de](http://ingesidee.de/resourceviewer.php?pgid=63) Inspiration for art can be found anywhere. This balloon [Panzer tank](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ukrainian-brand-rbtnk) seems to be exactly replicated based on the quote “If stripped of all it’s glory, war is nothing but hot air” - by General Eisenhower, famous American WWII commander. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why an artist would try to make [statement art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer) by using such an innocuous form like a [toy balloon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blow-lamp) due to it’s obvious appeal to the kids. Then again, I don’t understand most art anyway. Or maybe this isn’t art. Maybe the photos are reversed and the kids were blowing up the balloons and a tank appeared. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Inflatable Art:** Opportunity for artists to explore the medium of inflatables for creating thought-provoking and visually striking artwork. - **Statement Art:** Opportunity for artists to use unconventional materials or forms for creating art that challenges traditional notions. - **Playful Contradiction:** Opportunity for artists to create artworks that juxtapose opposing elements, such as war imagery with playful and innocent objects. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for artists and designers to push the boundaries of traditional art forms and materials. - **Toy Manufacturing:** Opportunity for toy manufacturers to explore the creation of inflatable toys that challenge traditional toy designs and spark imagination. - **Photography:** Opportunity for photographers to capture captivating images that challenge perception and offer a fresh perspective on familiar objects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Inflated-Illusion Ceramic Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blow-up.md) - [Colorfully Inflatable Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blowup-art-the-hague.md) - [Immersive Balloon Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-story-popup.md) - [Playful Balloon Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keff-joons.md) - [Spiky Inflatable Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-sculptures1.md) - [Artful Garden Inflatable Spheres](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/this-is-air.md) - [Balloon Dog Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-dog-cake.md) - [Explosion-Damaged Sculpture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-into-darkness.md) - [Apocalypse Post Pandemic Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-urban-art.md)
