The project features people's portraits being displayed all over public facades. Most recently, he has taken the project into a more spiritual location: the Au Pantheon church. The creative used [large-scale monochrome photos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/photography-seoul-museum-of-art), which were taken in his Inside Out PhotoBooth truck earlier this year, to cover the church's exterior and interior. Commissioned by [Centre des Monuments Nationaux](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centre-des-cultures-et-spiritualits-ews), the [church-based exhibition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nyth) features the portraits on its floor, hallway walls, on its dome, and down its aisle between the pews. The project turned the historical building into a contemporary work of art in a tasteful manner. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Monochrome Church Facades:** The use of monochrome photos to transform historical and public facades presents an opportunity for creative and tasteful art installations that blend the old with the new. - **Inside Out Project:** The Inside Out Project highlights the intersection of art and public space, providing opportunities for artists to transform public facades into moving works of art. - **Portrait Photography:** The use of portrait photography to create large-scale installations presents an opportunity for photographers to showcase their work in new ways and provides a unique experience for viewers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Fine Arts and Photography:** The fine arts and photography industry can leverage monochrome facades and large-scale installations to create moving works of art that draw people's attention and provide a unique experience for viewers. - **Heritage and Historical Preservation:** The heritage and historical preservation industry can leverage innovative works of art such as the Inside Out Project to maintain the cultural value of old buildings and spaces while making them interesting for younger generations. - **Event Planning and Production:** Event planning and production professionals can leverage monochrome facades and large-scale installations to create unique and interactive experiences for attendees, thus making their events more memorable and effectively differentiated. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Church-Housed Art Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/greg-mike1.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Agriculturally Inspired Art Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farming-photographs.md) - [Refurbished Welcoming Churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/st-leonards-church.md) - [Three-Part Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rhinoceros-gallery1.md) - [Beautiful Forest-Enclosed Churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mountain-church-of-julong.md) - [Building Plan Design Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jean-nouvel-2.md) - [Unique 3D Printing Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-printed-church.md)
