# Cozy Anime Monster Dwellings Bruno Clasca Shows Us What the Inside of a Pokeball Looks Like By Mesel Isaac | Published 2013-12-14 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inside-of-a-pokeball References: [kotaku](http://kotaku.com/what-the-inside-of-a-pokeball-looks-like-1476499673) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/clascabruno) One of Pokémon’s most enduring mysteries—since it became a worldwide phenomenon back in 1996—has been the question “what does the inside of a pokeball look like?” French illustrator Bruno Clasca aka Donnie has finally solved this question for us in a series of illustrations entitled ‘Pokehouse.’ ‘Pokehouse’ depicts the inside of the pokéballs of the original three starter Pokémon: Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur. Similar to the interior of a genie’s lamp, these [pocket monster](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-pokmon-sets) domiciles are much more spacious than one would be lead to believe. Not only is there enough room for each Pokémon to move around comfortably but significant space remains for Squirtle’s pool and Charmander’s charcoal grill. My childhood spent fretting over Pokémon living conditions has been pointless -- they live better then I do. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Anime Monster Dwellings:** Explore the trend of depicting the interior of anime monster dwellings, providing fans with a new perspective on their favorite characters. - **Pokeball Interior:** Unveiling the inside of a pokeball through artistic illustrations opens up the possibility for creative storytelling and merchandise opportunities. - **Expanded Pokemon Universe:** By showcasing the spaciousness and unique features of Pokemon dwellings, there is potential for expanding the Pokemon universe beyond battles and exploration. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Illustration:** Artists and illustrators can take advantage of the trend of depicting detailed and imaginative interiors to create unique and engaging artwork for fans. - **Merchandising:** The revelation of the inside of a pokeball presents merchandising opportunities for producing collectibles, toys, and apparel showcasing these unique dwelling spaces. - **Entertainment and Media:** The expanded Pokemon universe and the curiosity around the interior of pokeballs can inspire new storylines, spin-off series, and multimedia projects for fans to explore. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevated Anime-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-pokmon-mosaic-collection.md) - [Anime-Themed Virtual Pet Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokenade-monster-ball.md) - [Elegant Anime Decor Furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokmon-pottery-barn-kids-collection.md) - [Anime Creature-Inspired Crystalized Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anime-creatureinspired-crystalized-sculpture.md) - [Anime-Inspired Creature Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cellutane-1.md) - [Cartoon Creature-Themed Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rowlet-sofa.md) - [Monster-Themed Kitchenware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-creuset-pokmon-collection.md) - [Anime-Inspired Onigiri Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poke-ball-snacks.md) - [Cartoon-Inspired Home Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sizzlipede-zaisu.md)
