Designer Thomas Heatherwick creates the In-Side collection of outdoor furniture for [Magis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lost-collection). The pieces are defined by what looks like an [impossible shell](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seashell-nuo), which was created to protect a conceptual creature that is out of this world. Heatherwick explains, “The idea behind this new collection is to use [waste materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/re-up-side-tables) and reveal their inner beauty in an unexpected way."

The pieces are made with extensive research, which are integrated into their materiality, detailing, and production methods. The collection highlights a rippled molding on the outside and then features a colored fleck accent on the interior. This is made from a blend of recycled polyethylene collected from post-consumer and post-industrial construction processes as a larger part of a greener design.
