Earthkind's Stay Away collection includes a series of long-lasting slow-release pouches powered by essential oils that are pleasing to humans but deter specific types of pests. For instance, Stay Away Spiders uses citronella, lemongrass and rosemary to interfere with a spider's natural ability to sense their prey with their sensitive legs. These small pouches can be placed anywhere in the house to rid families of annoying pests, without inviting in any [harmful toxins or chemicals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mosqitter-mini) into the home. When a pouch ceases to release any more fragrant notes, this is an indicator that the product should be replaced for continued [all-natural pest protection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-bugs) in the home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Specialized Pest Control Solutions:** Creating pest control solutions that are tailored to target specific types of pests. - **Long-lasting Slow-release Pouches:** Using long-lasting slow-release pouches powered by essential oils for effective and continuous pest control. - **All-natural Pest Protection:** Providing all-natural pest protection without the use of harmful toxins or chemicals. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Pest Control:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing specialized pest control solutions that are safe and eco-friendly. - **Home Fragrance:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating long-lasting slow-release pouches infused with pleasant essential oil fragrances for home use. - **Home Health and Safety:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing effective pest control solutions that prioritize the health and safety of households. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Plant-Powered Insect Repellants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buzzie.md) - [Scientific Insect-Repelling Oils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-bug-blend.md) - [Child-Centric Insect Repellent Sprays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-repellent-spray.md) - [Essential Oil Insect Sprays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mox.md) - [Plant-Derived Pest Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stem.md) - [Compact Pest Control Plugins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pest-control-repeller.md) - [Pet-Friendly Insect Sprays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pest-control-spray.md) - [Natural Outdoor Bug Repellents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bug-buster-insect-repellent.md) - [Lemongrass-Scented Repellent Sprays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repellent-spray.md)
