The Inflow Table gets its unique functionality from its 1,000 meters of [elastic string](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumble-tables) that is all wrapped around a metal frame. The table may look odd, but it is actually pretty genius. After seeing it I am starting to wish that my coffee table would absorb all of the books and magazines lying on top of it. Dare to dream. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Elastic String Design:** The use of elastic string in furniture design presents disruptive innovation opportunities for creating versatile and clutter-free products. - **Object-absorbing Furniture:** The trend of furniture that can absorb objects offers opportunities for disruptive innovation in maximizing space and minimizing clutter. - **Functional Coffee Tables:** The rise of functional coffee tables that offer unique features presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in furniture design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can capitalize on the trend of elastic string design to create innovative and practical products. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can benefit from the trend of object-absorbing furniture by offering space-saving and clutter-free solutions for consumers. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can incorporate functional coffee tables into their designs, providing clients with stylish and practical solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bookshelf-Incorporated Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/overlap-table.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Harmonious Helical Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vortex-coffee-table.md) - [Paper-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoon-coffee-table.md) - [Artful Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertushka.md) - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md) - [Japandi-Style Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloth-coffee-table.md) - [Minimalist Book Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-coffee-table.md) - [Spinning Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-spinning-coffee-table.md)
