# Self-Pumping Bicycles The Inflator Bicycle Makes It So You'll Never Have a Flat Tire Again By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-05-01 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflator-bicycle References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2014/04/29/cycle-air-pump/) The Inflator bicycle is something that is getting rid of a problem that has plagued all cyclists since bikes were created. What does one do when they have a [flat tire](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flextails-tiny-pump-3x) and they aren't carrying a [hand pump](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apo5c) on them? Well now they can keep on rolling by pumping their bike up with the seat. If you're a cyclist then you know that the health of your tires is the most important thing when you're out on a ride -- if you have no tires, you have no bicycle. The inflator bike's body is attached to both tires and when the seat is lifted and pushed down, the tires are both pumped simultaneously. Never worry about going flat again with the Inflator bicycle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Self-pumping Bicycles:** Innovations in bicycles that have built-in pumps or self-inflating tires. - **Innovative Tire Technologies:** Emerging tire technologies that prevent flats and increase durability. - **Sustainable Transportation Solutions:** Bicycles as a sustainable and low-maintenance alternative to cars. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Bicycle Manufacturing:** Opportunities for bike manufacturers to incorporate self-pumping technology or innovative tire technologies. - **Sustainable Transportation:** Increasing adoption of bicycles as a sustainable mode of transport. - **Sports and Fitness:** Self-pumping bicycles as a convenient fitness and leisure vehicle for people of all ages. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smart Inflation Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/x8-apex.md) - [Cordless Handheld Tire Inflators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tire-inflator.md) - [Airless Bicycle Tires](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airless-bicycle-tires.md) - [Ultra-Compact Tire Inflators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-pump.md) - [Miniaturized Cycling Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniaturized-cycling-multitool.md) - [Featherlight Inflatable Bike Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflabi-bike-helmet.md) - [Portable Tire Inflators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Ventus-Pro.md) - [Ultra-Speedy Tire Inflation Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oak-iron-one-pro.md) - [Multifunctional Tire Air Pumps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-air-pump.md)
