# Inflatable Portable Pubs Bouncy Castles for Boozing By Bianca | Published 2008-03-29 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-pub References: [dailyrecord](http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/2008/03/28/skye-firm-launch-world-s-first-inflatable-pub-86908-20365154/) & [amberiris](http://www.amberiris.co.uk/site.htm) Bouncy castles are so much fun, but for some reason, even I get rejected when I try to play in them, and I'm pretty small! Imagine my excitement then when I discovered the Inflatable Pub! Designed for adults, the [blow-up bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conqueror-inflatable), which can be rented out, look similar like regular inns, taverns or pubs, but are made the same stuff as bouncy castles for kids. I have a feeling these would be *way* more fun! The [portable, air filled units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpot) would be awesome for parties, from backyard bashes for your buddies to corporate BBQs. I'd even suggest it for weddings! "There are four varieties of pub to choose from," says **Amber Iris**, the UK company who rents them out. "The Firkin, Kilderkin, [Barrel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ice-barrel) and the Hogshead - all named after beer containers - cost between £4379 and £16,500." Smokers, I hate to burst your bubble, but you can't light up in here; falling ciggy butts would be the end of all the fun! "It is the size of a normal stone-built pub, at 50 feet by 25 feet, and it takes up to four people to put up," the press release explains. "The pubs feature a pan-tiled roof effect with chimney pots. Inside, there is a pretend fireplace and stonewall effect." I want to play! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Inflatable Portable Pubs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the market for inflatable portable pubs for events and parties, offering a unique and fun experience for adults. - **Adult Bouncy Castles:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop adult-oriented bouncy castles that can be rented out for various occasions, providing entertainment and nostalgia for grown-ups. - **Event Entertainment Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative event entertainment solutions, such as inflatable bars and pubs, to cater to the growing demand for unique and memorable experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment Rentals:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Establish a business in the entertainment rental industry, specifically focusing on inflatable portable pubs and adult-oriented bouncy castles. - **Event Planning:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce inflatable pubs and bouncy castles as novel additions to event planning services, attracting clients looking for unconventional and engaging experiences. - **Hospitality and Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate inflatable portable pubs into the hospitality and tourism industry, offering an exciting and unique attraction for tourists and locals alike. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Humorous Cocktail-Inspired Pull Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buzzballz-pool.md) - [Pastel Indoor Bounce Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smol-bounce-houses.md) - [Beer-Pouring Party Billboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jubel-billboard.md) - [Inflatable House-Shaped Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-architecture-inflatable-tent.md) - [Floating Bar-Style Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bote-inflatable-dock-hangout-classic.md) - [Floating Cabana Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-cabana-bar.md) - [Boozy Backyard Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beer-darts.md) - [Inflatable Entertainment Complex Expansions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-entertainment.md) - [Virtual Pub Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heineken-pub-museums.md)
