# Futuristic Clothing Flatteners The Infinity Iron Takes the Wrinkles Out of Your Day By Alex Scott | Published 2010-03-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinity-iron References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/03/08/lovely-globey-ironing/) & [adamwendel](http://adamwendel.com) Ironing is something I steer away from like the plague. I try to hang up all of my shirts so as to not inflict wrinkling. I consider ironing an art form -- one that I am gravely under trained in. If I had an Infinity Iron by my side though, my fear may just lessen. Controlled by sensors and lights, the Infinity Iron is idiot-proof (something that appeals to me very much). Designed by Adam Wendel, the device will let you know when desired heat is reached for the article of clothing by glowing bright blue, ensuring you won't leave a nasty burn mark on your top. The Infinty Iron is a tool that every man should have. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Ironing Tools:** The development of smarter and safer ironing tools can revolutionize the home appliances market, particularly for individuals who are always on the go. - **Sensor-driven Appliances:** The integration of sensors on appliances can provide real-time feedback to users and make household chores simpler and stress-free. - **Artificial Intelligence-powered Home Appliances:** The application of Artificial Intelligence in home appliances can provide an enhanced user experience, making the appliances more intuitive and easy to use. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Appliances:** Manufacturers of home appliances can integrate sensor technology and AI-powered intelligence to enhance user experience and improve product offerings. - **Fashion and Apparel:** Smart ironing tools such as the Infinity Iron can revolutionize the clothing care market, providing users with safer and more efficient tools to care for their clothing. - **Consumer Electronics:** Sensor-driven and AI-powered appliances such as the Infinity Iron can expand the consumer electronics market to include household appliances that can provide enhanced user experience and higher efficiency. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Garment-Drying Laundry Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zera-lab-launbot.md) - [Dual-Fucntional Steam Iron Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/darimeven.md) - [Shapeshifting Garment Care Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garment-steamer.md) - [Clip-Style Clothing Care Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steamur.md) - [Handheld Garment Cleaning Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-dry-cleaner.md) - [Pressurized Steam-Equipped Clothing Irons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pressurized-steamequipped-clothing-iron.md) - [Space-Saving Garment Care Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-dualfunction-ironing-board-mirror.md) - [High-Tech Clothing Care Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hightech-clothing-care.md) - [Germ-Killing Clothing Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clothing-care-appliance.md)
