The sink is inspired by the visual effect of a grid plane when it is deformed, building on Einstein's idea that space is not an empty void but made up of four-dimensional structures from matter and energy all combined. INFINITO creates this infinite visual as it's described as an “eternal moment of absent matter that defines both before and after forming a whole… encapsulating the inexplicable paradox of being and non-being, a continuous flow that is the search for balance; that often uncertain movement that adapts to reality, materializing only when it becomes past and imagining future depends on us.” Image Credit: ovre.design, FMG Shapes ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 28% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Architectural Artistry in Home Fixtures:** This trend elevates home fixtures from mere functional items to pieces of art that reflect complex philosophical ideas and scientific principles. - **Four-dimensional Design Concepts:** Designs inspired by four-dimensional structures blend artistic aesthetics with intricate scientific theories, creating visually and intellectually stimulating objects. - **Philosophical Home Decor:** Home decor items that encapsulate philosophical ideas offer a fusion of intellectual depth and aesthetic appeal, transforming everyday environments into thought-provoking spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Luxury Home Decor:** The luxury home decor industry can capitalize on designs that merge high-quality materials with complex, intellectually rich concepts, appealing to a sophisticated clientele. - **Architectural Design Firms:** Architectural design firms can explore innovative collaborations with material specialists to create unique, statement pieces that embody avant-garde design principles. - **Marble Manufacturing:** Marble manufacturers have the opportunity to expand their offerings by incorporating artistic and highly conceptual elements into their traditional material craftsmanship. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Sculptural 3D-Printed Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-printed-sink.md) - [Water Flow-Inspired Kiln Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-collection.md) - [Marble Slab Washbasins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-washbasin.md) - [Electric Kiln-Made Unique Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-1.md) - [Artful Artisanal Marble Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md)
