i29 Interior Architects partnered with VMX Architects to design the [industrial office](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mislad) for MediaXplain, a media agency based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The industrial aesthetic was not chosen at random; rather, it relates to the history of the area. The raw concrete walls and [open floor plan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salt-hq) of the office were accompanied by rough oak wood, a concrete carpet, grey ceilings, black surfaces and an industrial staircase that ties the look together. An open facade featuring angular glass panels offers employees unobstructed views of the [old Port of Amsterdam](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-hq), completing the bold, uncompromising vision.

Employees sit at large oak desks which overlook the port. Meanwhile, a private segment consisting of offices, meeting rooms and a pantry is located at the rear.
