The set boasts a marriage between the modern and old-school, and would be perfect in a contemporary space. This is what the designers of Decorado/Barthelmess Group thought when creating this new look. The [wooden furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-furnitures), which can stand in a shop or in a home, is practical, yet whimsical. The set includes a [cabinet and a chest set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet), completing your space in a way that speaks to a more creative sense of style. Either of the pieces, however, would do well as standalone accents. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Industrial Chic:** There is a growing trend towards industrial chic aesthetics in interior design. - **Retro Revival:** Retro industrial furniture is gaining popularity as a way to merge old-school charm with modern practicality. - **Whimsical Minimalism:** Whimsical elements are being incorporated into minimalist furniture designs, adding a touch of creativity to contemporary spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can explore the use of industrial chic aesthetics to create modern and practical spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can capitalize on the growing demand for retro industrial furniture designs. - **Retail:** Retailers can offer retro industrial furniture as standout accent pieces for customers looking to add a creative touch to their spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Industrial-Inspired Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/industrial-art1.md) - [NYC Apartment Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brooklyn-loft.md) - [70s-Inspired Structural Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-12.md) - [Retro-Modern Dining Room Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patricia-urquiola-x-andreu-world-bolete.md) - [Industrial Architecture-Themed Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/industrial-archaeology.md) - [Wire-Accented Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/line-series-furniture.md) - [Latin Playground-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-sum-of-small-parts.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Modular Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dust-order.md) - [Industrial All-Metal Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lockwerk-coffee-table.md)
