This [industrial abode](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-casa-mrgt) in Tokyo is interesting for a variety of reasons. Its unique shape is immediately eye-catching and striking even before one enters the modern home. The house is environmentally-friendly in many ways, the first being its construction. The [concrete-clad structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concrete-house-1) was made with a mix of concrete and 'Shirasu,' a form of volcanic ash.

The four-storey house features a floating staircase that spirals throughout the residence. The geometric interior is mimicked through its triangular windows, creating a constant stream of light into the house. The basement of the structure has a sound-proof media space, while the second floor is an open-concept living, dining and kitchen area.

In designing the space, architects Atelier Tekuto were able to incorporate a [minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-kyobate) while subtly incorporating traditional Japanese elements.
