# Form-Fitting Seats The Indulgence Chair Has Curves in all the Right Places By Alex Scott | Published 2010-03-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indulgence-chair References: [industrialdesignserved](http://www.industrialdesignserved.com/Gallery/indulgence/310454) & [dimaloginoff](http://dimaloginoff.com) Working at my first office job, I realize the importance of a good chair. If you are at a desk nine in the morning until five in the evening, you are going to need a seat that has plenty of back support and is designed around giving good posture. With the Indulgence Chair, I don't think I'd ever want to leave my desk. Designed by Dima Loginoff, the Indulgence Chair is a simple enough looking design, but you can bet a lot of thought and engineering went into this piece of furniture. Though it features a hard surface, the Indulgence Chair follows the shape of your spine so you know it will be darn comfortable. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Ergonomic Seating:** The rise of ergonomic seating has led to the development of form-fitting chairs and the potential for disruptive innovation opportunities in the furniture industry. - **Health-conscious Workspace:** The push for healthy work environments has led to the demand for ergonomic seating, providing an opportunity for companies to innovate and create healthier office environments. - **Technology-assisted Seating:** The integration of technology in seating designs has the potential to revolutionize the way we sit and work, creating disruptive innovation opportunities for the furniture industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** The furniture industry has great disruptive innovation potential for form-fitting, ergonomic seating to meet the growing demand for healthier work environments. - **Office Supplies:** Office supply companies have the opportunity to integrate technology into seating designs to create innovative and customizable chairs that are more tailored to individual users. - **Health and Wellness:** The health and wellness industry can partner with furniture companies to create ergonomic seating options that promote healthy posture and reduce the risk of injury or chronic pain. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Shapeshifting Spine-Like Work Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spine-chair.md) - [Performance-Driven Ergonomic Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-office-chair2.md) - [Minimalist Ergonomic Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-office-chair1.md) - [Ergonomic Office Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-ergonomic-office-chair.md) - [Sleek Ergonomic Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oc14.md) - [Supportively Stylish Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-newson.md) - [Health-Focused Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-office-chair.md) - [Supplemental Posture Chair Supports](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curble-chair.md) - [Comfy High-Backed Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highbacked-office-chair.md)
