It’s about time that somebody figured out that irons should work off of [induction heating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midea-celestial-flex-series). How many times has someone made the accidental (foolish) mistake of touching the iron because they didn’t know it was on?

Therese Glimskär in collaboration with [BASF](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pla-pure) (makers of the heat resistant plastic ULTRADUR) has created the Induction Iron. It works off of electormagnetic technology that causes the instant heating process only when the iron is on a piece of clothing.

The world is now officially a much safer place!
