'Indochine' in Vogue Germany was inspired by the fashions of the 1920s and the south-Asian region. Photographer Alexi Lubomirski seems to have been influenced by the films of Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar-Wei.

The steamy, yellow-filtered editorial was styled by fashion editor Christine Arp. 'Indochine' in Vogue Germany stars models Luca Gadjus and Karoline Walter lounging seductively with a few anonymous male models.

Implications - While many companies have worked extremely hard to satisfy the needs of consumers' contemporary and modern demands, the yearning for vintage-inspired and antique-like products and services are increasing. Colonial or historical editorials are a simple way to transport consumers to a historical period of time. With the use of something as simple as editorials, companies do not need to worry over completely revamping their products, philosophies or manufacturing processes in order to meet current consumer cravings.
