# Incense-Mimicking Table Lamps The Conceptual 'Incense Lamp' by Siyu Lou Curls and Bends with Use By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2022-05-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/incense-lamp References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2022/05/06/incense-lamp-curls-and-bends-like-a-real-incense/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=incense-lamp-curls-and-bends-like-a-real-incense) The conceptual 'Incense Lamp' is the design work of Siyu Lou and shows off a construction that mimics the form of the namesake [burning aromatic product](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aw030001na) for an intriguing take on illumination. The lamp features an ultra-slender construction and a tubular body, which likens it to incense but sets itself apart with its stark white finish. The light, when activated, will glow from the tip and, with time, start to [bend and curl](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yurameki) much in the same way that lit incense will. The conceptual 'Incense Lamp' will shine at full brightness when turned on, but will slowly start to burn out and fade after 30-minutes. This makes it even more similar to incense and is perfect for winding down at the end of the day. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Incense-inspired Lighting:** Companies can create unique lighting designs that mimic the form or aroma of incense to offer consumers a new and interesting way to light up their space. - **Dynamic Lighting:** Designers can explore dynamic and interactive lighting concepts that change in shape or intensity over time to create unique visual experiences for users. - **Sustainable Lighting:** Incorporating green materials and processes into lighting design can reduce waste and increase sustainability in the lighting industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Furniture and home decor companies can incorporate incense-inspired lighting into their product lines as a unique and functional way to complement traditional lighting fixtures. - **Hospitality:** Hotels and restaurants can use dynamic lighting to create engaging and memorable experiences for guests, setting themselves apart from competitors in the industry. - **Sustainability:** Sustainable lighting companies can explore the use of green materials and processes to create environmentally friendly lighting solutions that reduce waste and energy consumption. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smoky Illumination Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunset-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Sensory Relaxation Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/idiya-smart-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Incense Burners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuvolino.md) - [Luxe Candle-Melting Lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infra-luna-20.md) - [Naturally Inspired Digital Candles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magma-lamp.md) - [Aroma Diffuser Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-lotus-lamp.md) - [Candle-Mimicking Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hymn.md) - [Bamboo-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-desk-lamp.md)
