[Starbucks Japan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starbucks-selfservice-kiosks) has unveiled a new in-cafe co-working space, orchestrated in collaboration with [Think Lab Co.](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/think-tank-pro) The store is located in Ginza and it opened doors to the public on July 30th, 2020.

The coffee giant has long offered a space for freelancers, students, and others to work on their laptops while enjoying craft beverages with a caffeine boost. An in-cafe co-working space is a logical next step. Titled 'Smart Lounge,' the store spans multiple floors. The second level is where people can go if they need work done—whether it is related to studying exams, personal projects, or remote work.

The in-cafe co-working environment features [solo working spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabin-work-pod) that "resemble slim, modern cubicles," as well as meeting spaces. In addition, there are designated spaces for those who need to conduct video calls.
