[Impossible Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impossible-meatballs-made-from-plants) has announced that its plant-based 'Impossible [Sausage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aromatic-plantbased-sausages)' will now be available at retail grocery chains throughout the United States. This is the second meat alternative product that the company will have released for in-store retail purchase, joining the brand's popular '[Impossible Burger](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impossible-hot-dog).'

Unlike other pre-made vegan sausages, the 'Impossible Sausage' comes in a faux raw ground meat form. What this means is that customers can use the product in a variety of dishes in a similar manner as traditional ground sausage. It will also be offered in two flavors: spicy and savory.

According to the company, Impossible Foods seeks to replace meat-based products on a "worst first" basis, meaning it looks to tackle products considered the most harmful to the environment. In this case, the 'Impossible Sausage' is a far more sustainable option for consumers than regular pork-based options.
