For decades, IMAX has been on the cutting edge of immersive entertainment experiences, and the new IMAX VR center in Los Angeles is a testament to the company's commitment to stay there. The new flagship location features 14 pods in which attendees can don a host of virtual reality equipment in order to create as authentic an experience as possible.
The IMAX VR center offers guests experiences through the HTC Vive and Starbreeze StarVR headsets, but it also gives guests many other devices. The pods contain Dbox cinema chairs, a Subpac vest that delivers vibrations coordinated to the contents of the experience, and several different physical controllers.
