# Ductile Donut Docks The iLoop Smartphone Stand Surrounds Your Cell as a Secure Prop By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-06-01 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iloop References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/iloop-smartphone-holder-review/) & [iloop-official](http://www.iloop-official.com/) You don't need something complicated to perform the simple purpose of propping up your handset, yet as basic as the iLoop is, it manages to prove itself to be remarkably versatile. Looking at this curious doodad, you might expect it to be sufficiently flexible and soft to the touch. Apparently it is not. But this is particularly important for the function of the ring-shaped [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsockets-kickout-grip-and-stand) stand, offering it support and sturdiness when nestled in from any angle. As a side perk, this firm Provoco-made mobile accessory doubles as an effective exercise handgrip. Even without this unexpected feature, the iLoop is advantageously adaptable for holding your Android in a horizontal position as well. It frees your hands for [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinypod) browsing, video chatting and keeps your tiny speaker unobstructed all the while. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Versatile Smartphone Stands:** The iLoop demonstrates the trend of versatile smartphone stands that can prop up devices from any angle. - **Multi-functional Mobile Accessories:** The iLoop showcases the trend of mobile accessories that have additional functionalities, such as doubling as an exercise handgrip. - **Hands-free Device Usage:** The iLoop highlights the trend of smartphone accessories that allow for hands-free activities like YouTube browsing and video chatting. ### Where This Applies - **Mobile Device Accessories:** The iLoop falls into the mobile device accessories industry, offering a unique and versatile smartphone stand option. - **Fitness and Wellness:** The iLoop presents an opportunity for the fitness and wellness industry by combining a smartphone stand with an exercise handgrip. - **Online Content Consumption:** The iLoop caters to the online content consumption industry by providing a hands-free option for activities like watching videos and video chatting. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gripping Smartphone Mount Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kling-kong-smartphone-kickstand.md) - [Smartphone Ring Grip Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanopop-magsafe.md) - [Magsafe Phone Stand Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-phone.md) - [Shifting Orientation Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphone-stand-charger.md) - [Magnetic Phone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ganinno-r-stand.md) - [Freestanding Smartphone Dock Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jteman-phone-stand-and-speaker.md) - [Cable Storage Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hold-the-phone-stand.md) - [Versatile EDC Phone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acestand-2.md) - [Adaptable Magnetic Smartphone Grips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsockets-kickout-grip-and-stand.md)
