The Illustrated Aliens art project involves the creation of an alien a day by Andy Martin, a freelance animation director hailing from Sheffield, England, and now based in London. A fun and admirable undertaking, the Illustrated Aliens project hones his artistic abilities in a way that only pure creativity and discipline can. He reveals, "Over the past couple of years, I found I was working more and more on the computer, so I set myself a [daily character design project](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creator-odyssey)."

Staying away from the traditional idea of little green men or even more gruesome [Hollywood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marilyn-monroe-barbie) rendering, the Illustrated Aliens project appears to riff off [existing Earth animals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animal-generator). By adding multiple eyes and limbs, the results are quite extraordinary. Martin even concentrates on a single race each month.
