The one mile tunnel was borrowed by the artist during the four day event and was made into a visually pleasing, surreal outdoor wonderland. "It will be the first time in Europe that one combines the functionality of a tunnel with an innovative creation. People should even forget they are in a gallery," says the deputy for city culture, Georges Képénékian, of the transformative tunnel. The projection series called Anamorphosis converts the Lyon tunnel into a wide range of landscapes. From woodlands, psychedelic cities and buildings to ancient town landscapes, the illusions create otherworldly atmospheres and places for visitors of the installation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Digital Projection Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new techniques and technologies for creating immersive and visually stunning digital projections. - **Illusionary Installations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create mind-bending and surreal installations that transport viewers to otherworldly environments. - **Immersive Art Experiences:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine traditional forms of art with technology to create interactive and immersive experiences for audiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Entertainment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Experiment with new forms of artistic expression to captivate audiences and create memorable experiences. - **Technology and Innovation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop cutting-edge technologies and tools for projection mapping and immersive installations. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilize artistic installations and immersive experiences to attract and engage tourists in unique destinations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Light Show Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/llumi.md) - [Immersive Light Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Immersive Illuminated Artistic Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumino1.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Immersive Light Festivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lektrik-festival-of-lights.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Swirled Public Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tunnel-vision-installation.md) - [Color-In Commuter Tunnels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/masterpeace-painting.md) - [Light Garden Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/imaginarium360.md)
