The [large-scale ceramic tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pulsar-collection) have leaf-shaped openings which are lit from behind. The tiles can be placed either in a vertical or horizontal row to create a vine-like appearance along the wall. The tiles take up no additional space in the room and add the effect of [ambient lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hue-play-wall-washer). They would look cool in a dim hall or stairwell, or you can install just a single 'Light Shape' as a night-light. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Illuminated Decor:** The trend of adding lighting to decorative elements to create a dramatic effect in a space can be applied to a wide range of home decor products. - **Integrated Lighting:** The integration of lighting within building materials creates opportunities for architects and designers to incorporate lighting into their designs without sacrificing space. - **Ceramic Innovation:** Innovative uses of ceramics, such as the leaf-shaped openings in GranitiFiandre's Light Shape tiles, can push the boundaries of what is possible for ceramic production. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The trend of illuminated decor can be incorporated into a range of interior design products, offering new opportunities for differentiation and creating unique visual experiences. - **Construction Materials:** The integration of lighting into building materials presents numerous opportunities for manufacturers to innovate and differentiate themselves within the construction industry. - **Ceramics Manufacturing:** The use of innovative techniques and designs in ceramics production can open up new markets for ceramic manufacturers and provide unique value to customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bright Wall Tile Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luma.md) - [Geometric-Shaped Wall Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impulse-wall-light.md) - [Minimal Integrated Tile LIghting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uu-tiles.md) - [Optical Illusion Shower Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/betteair.md) - [Waffle-Like Patterned Ceramic Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubik.md) - [Functional Illuminated Bricks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/og-brick-light.md) - [Sculpted Pattern Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/osso-bottone.md) - [Timber-Like Smart Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanoleaf-elements-wood-look-hexagon-lights.md) - [Dynamic Interchangeable Wall Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abyss-wall.md)
