Ever wondered how much of which liquor to pour into a drink? Some bartenders just seem to have a magical talent for this; well, that and years of practice. With the Kikkerland Cube, you can not only pour like a pro, but you can look stylishly clever as you do it! The little cube by designer Josh Owen is made out of [aluminum](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corkcicle-cool-flask) and is marked at different points so you get the [perfect measurements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-codex). "The design of the Aluminum Cube Jigger evolved from an experiment to compress the six most common liquid measures used to [mix alcoholic drinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/complete-bar-set), into the smallest possible dispenser," Owen said of his gadget. "The form was inspired by traditional box-shaped, Japanese sake cups, from which sake is sipped from the corners." Kikkerland is Dutch for "frog land" which is another nickname for The Netherlands. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Precision Pouring:** The Kikkerland Cube highlights the trend of precision pouring, where customers are looking for perfectly measured cocktails and drinks with minimal wastage. - **Cocktail Gadgets:** The Kikkerland Cube represents the trend of cocktail gadgets, which cater to the home bartender and add a touch of style to the art of mixing drinks. - **Japanese-inspired Design:** The Kikkerland Cube showcases the trend of Japanese-inspired design, where traditional shapes and minimalist aesthetics are used to create innovative products. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Barware:** The barware industry can benefit from the Kikkerland Cube by incorporating similar measurement innovations to make cocktail-making easier and more accessible for home bartenders. - **Kitchen Gadgets:** The kitchen gadget industry can find inspiration in the Kikkerland Cube, and create more compact and stylish tools and gadgets to elevate the cooking and baking experience. - **Product Design:** The Kikkerland Cube demonstrates the potential for innovation in product design, where functionality meets creativity to create gadgets that are both practical and visually appealing. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Self-Measuring Cocktail Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-craft-hybrid-cocktail-glass.md) - [Bitters-Infused Cocktail Cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-cubes.md) - [Sculptural Cocktail Shakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hexclad-cocktail-shaker.md) - [Perfect-Pour Beer Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perfect-3way-glass.md) - [Dedicated Craft Cocktail Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-cocktail-glass.md) - [At-Home Mixologist Ice Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sphere-ice-maker.md) - [Compact Portable Libation Kegs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/square-one-mini-keg.md) - [Cooling Beer Cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beercubes1.md) - [Luxurious 10-Piece Mixology Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mixology-bartender-kit.md)
