# Bleached Bough End Tables The Ilan Dei Studio Tree Table Mimics California's Nature By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-03-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ilan-dei-studio-tree-table References: [mocoloco](http://mocoloco.com/fresh2/2011/02/25/tree-table-by-ilan-dei-studio.php) & [ilandeistudio](http://www.ilandeistudio.com/) In one way or another, art and design are reflections of nature and pieces like the [Ilan Dei Studio Tree Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ilan-collection) take a more literal form of biological representation. Inspired by the organic complexity and grace of California's [native tree species](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceiba-series), this side table has a circular base and a compound shaft which splits to reveal an array of curved branches. Capped with a [cloud-shaped canopy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-tables1) to mimic the cover of three tops, this splendid surface succeeds in its function through tree-like serpentine forms. The Ilan Dei Studio Tree Table is also quite a stunning sculpture. It's made from the malleable material of heated corian, and whitewashed for a clean artistic silhouette. Communicating a smooth and naturally sinuous presence, this sublime stand will infuse any living space with a soft essence of life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Organic-inspired Furniture:** The trend of organic-inspired furniture presents an opportunity for designers to create pieces that mimic the beauty and complexity of nature. - **Multi-functional Design:** The trend of multi-functional design offers disruptive innovation opportunities for furniture designers to create pieces that serve both functional and artistic purposes. - **Sustainable Materials:** The trend of using sustainable materials in furniture design presents an opportunity for designers to create eco-friendly and visually appealing pieces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can tap into the trend of organic-inspired furniture to create unique and nature-inspired pieces. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can leverage the trend of multi-functional design to offer innovative and space-saving furniture solutions for clients. - **Sustainable Living:** The sustainable living industry can benefit from the trend of using sustainable materials in furniture design, providing eco-conscious consumers with stylish and environmentally friendly options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Island-Inspired Wooden Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/island-table.md) - [Artistic Juxtaposed Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koroi-side-table.md) - [Chic Sustainable Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oceanides-table-collection.md) - [Unique Burl-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/don-heston-studio.md) - [Expertly Woven Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wicker-side-table.md) - [Raw Cast-Bronze Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corca-side-table.md) - [Asymmetrical Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mura-side-table.md) - [Herringbone-Inspired Wooden Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herringbone-table.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md)
