This handy gun-like espresso machine essentially shoots a shot of espresso into either an empty cup or even a latte or cappuccino to really give it a punch. The il Tiro pretty much works like a traditional espresso machine, but in a more convenient and portable way. The water goes into the gun's handle and coffee is prepared in one of the pistol's chambers. The grinding of beans is handled by a dock which houses il Tiro. You get about three shots out of it before you have to reload. The il Tiro was designed by Stefan Riegebauer, Christina Carli, Florian Kainz and Niko Schwarz. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Portable Espresso Machines:** The il Tiro showcases the trend of convenient and portable espresso machines, providing on-the-go caffeine solutions. - **Innovative Coffee Preparation:** The il Tiro introduces a disruptive innovation opportunity in coffee preparation methods by combining the functionality of an espresso machine with a gun-like design. - **Enhanced Coffee Drinking Experience:** The il Tiro contributes to the trend of enhancing the coffee drinking experience through unique and creative methods. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Coffee Equipment Manufacturing:** The il Tiro presents new opportunities for coffee equipment manufacturers to develop and market innovative portable espresso machines. - **Food and Beverage:** The il Tiro's novel coffee preparation approach opens up possibilities for the food and beverage industry to create unique coffee-based experiences for customers. - **Outdoor and Travel Gear:** The il Tiro taps into the outdoor and travel gear industry by providing a compact and portable solution for coffee lovers on the go. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Traveler Espresso Shot Brewers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bialetti-brewpin.md) - [Pocket-Sized Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conqueco-portable-espresso-machine.md) - [Mini Espresso Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyetus-mini-espresso.md) - [Modular Electric Espressos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixapresso.md) - [Self-Heating Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cera-portable-espresso-machine-pro.md) - [Pressurized Portable Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mokamax-portable-coffee-maker.md) - [Portable Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-espresso-makers.md) - [Compact Capsule-Like Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-espresso-coffee-machine.md) - [Modern Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/turbo-moka.md)
