It's often frustrating when you're looking for a particular item but can't seem to find it, and that's why having a practical source of illumination in your drawer will make the process of organizing your things much easier. The IKEA Dioder consists of an [LED battery-powered strip](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rechargeable-wireless-lighting) that automatically turns on when a drawer is opened and turns off when it's closed. A great alternative to turning on the often blinding ceilings lights, the IKEA Dioder will certainly make searching for things at night much more practical. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **LED Lighting Solutions:** Opportunity for manufacturers to develop energy-efficient LED lighting solutions for drawers and cabinets. - **Smart Home Integration:** Opportunity for technology companies to develop smart home systems integrating drawer illumination for enhanced convenience and automation. - **Sustainable Design:** Opportunity for designers to create eco-friendly drawer illumination options using sustainable materials and energy-efficient technologies. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to incorporate illuminated drawers as a value-added feature in their products. - **Lighting Industry:** Opportunity for lighting companies to produce specialized LED lighting solutions specifically designed for drawers and cabinets. - **Home Automation:** Opportunity for home automation companies to create innovative systems that seamlessly integrate drawer illumination into smart home setups. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Accessible Accent Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decoration-light.md) - [Customizable LED Strip Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-kabblekaled.md) - [Connected Retailer Light Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rgb-led-strip.md) - [Smart Ambient Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-varmblixt-smart-lights.md) - [Alternative Energy Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sammanlnkad-collection.md) - [Mobile Illuminating Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/for-a-fleeting-moment.md) - [Wall-Mounted Ambient Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-varmblixt-collection.md) - [Dynamic Lighting-Equipped Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-objet.md) - [Cubic Wall-Mounted Light Panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-jetstrm.md)
