The all-plastic bike maintains a corrosion-free construction that would be optimal for use in outdoor environments when exposed to the elements. The igus:bike is still under development but has been prototyped by the brands and is making its debut at trade fairs like the Hannover Messe. The bike is expected to be sold from MTRL by the end of the year with an adult-sized model priced at around €1,400.
