# Creepy Creature Furniture The Iguana Box by Stephanie Dueck is a Creative Addition to Your Home By Allison Love | Published 2010-07-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iguana-box References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/32140/) & [360seegallery](http://www.360seegallery.com/by/Stefanie_Dueck) I'm all for interesting furniture, but the Iguana Box looks a bit too creepy for my taste. Nevertheless, the cleverly designed piece of furniture from Stephanie Dueck is pretty creative. The Iguana Box actually opens and is lined with fur on the inside of the box. Assuming this is a storage box, the Iguana Box would look right in place in a kid's room, beside the bug story books and stuffed animals. I do enjoy the creep factor, just not enough to make it a central accessory in my house. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Animal-inspired Furniture:** Designing furniture with a unique and creepy touch can attract more customers with a specific taste. - **Integrating Fur in Furniture Design:** Incorporating soft materials like fur in furniture design can help furniture manufacturers and designer to attract potential buyers by introducing a unique touch. - **Creative Storage Furniture:** Designing eye-catching storage furniture can become a new trend to attract customers who prefer functionality and attention-grabbing aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can implement unique designs like the Iguana Box, that provide storage functionality and an attention-grabbing look. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can attract customers with a unique taste by using creepy and animal-inspired furniture pieces like the Iguana Box to complement their designs. - **Children's Toy Industry:** Manufacturers of children's toys can incorporate creepy and animal-inspired furniture pieces like the Iguana Box into their product lines, especially for themed rooms. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Quirky Trinket Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mystic-box.md) - [Metallic Multifunctional Storage Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabine-101.md) - [Sleek Open-Space Furniture Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-box.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Twisting CGI-Designed Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookscrew-sideboard.md) - [Stylish Oakwood Storage Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moose-cabinet.md) - [Wilderness-Inspired Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/habitat-collection.md) - [Cat Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igloo-side-table.md) - [Storage Box-Transformed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunks-and-blocks.md)
