The unit mounts to the pool edge with adjustable clamps and connects to a separate power box, enabling adjustable flow levels from gentle resistance to stronger currents suitable for lap swimming. The X Series uses a [battery-powered design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreame-z1-pro) with suitcase-style wheels for portability between locations or pools. Flow speeds reach up to about 3.5 m/s, allowing swimmers to work against resistance similar to professional [swim jets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sand-filter-pump), while multiple models cover a range of power outputs for casual use or more intense training. A mixing of adaptive controls aims to balance current stability for both exercise and family water activities.
