I cannot reference it here; however, I can show you the i-Flower concept that was born of this intriguing idea. Earning second place in the I-MU Speaker Design Contest, this invention curiously combines a flower pot with an [iPod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinypod) dock. You would keep the contraption plugged into the wall to supply energy to your media player, enabling it to charge up and keep your favorite tracks coming. While half of it is dedicated to managing your playlist and projecting sound from the [built-in speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shell-intelligent), the other is a compartment designed for growing greenery within a bed of soil. The i-Flower gives you something sweet to smell and see while it delights you with a melody. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Planters:** Opportunity for creating planters that integrate with technology, such as speakers or charging docks. - **Multisensory Design:** Opportunity to design products that stimulate multiple senses simultaneously, such as combining visual, auditory, and olfactory experiences. - **Green-tech Fusion:** Opportunity to merge technology and nature in innovative ways, such as combining planters with energy-efficient devices. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Home decor industry can explore the integration of technology and natural elements in products like smart planters. - **Audio Technology:** Audio technology industry can innovate by creating speakers and charging docks that seamlessly blend with planters and other home decor items. - **Eco-friendly Technology:** Eco-friendly technology industry can develop sustainable solutions that merge greenery and modern technology, such as energy-efficient planters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dementia Support Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-smart-planter.md) - [Digital Interaction Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planta-planter.md) - [Climate-Controlled Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-flower-system.md) - [Virtual Pet Planter Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot-concept.md) - [Vase-Style Speaker Charger Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soak.md) - [Nature-Inspired Multifunctional Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moss-echo.md) - [Flower Bud-Inspired Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orris-speaker-concept.md) - [Plant-Powered MIDI Sound Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-hultn-tegel.md) - [Plant-Cultivating Home Furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-4.md)
