Located in the trendy Viennese district of Gumpendorfer Straße, this space stands out with its artistic intent. The protruding ceiling is meant to resemble a mountainous range interpreted as a geometric fantasy. It serves the purpose of optical illusion, conversation piece and installation host. Mirrors multiply the ceiling's effect and give the space a whimsical look. With the contrast of an otherwise minimalist dark palette and simple decor, the ceiling aims to grab patron's attention stimulating artistic thought. The If Dogs Run Free bar is a cutting edge venue that melds the genres of installation, music and nightlife beautifully. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Optical Illusion Interiors:** Opportunities for interior design innovations that utilize optical illusions to create visually stunning spaces, stimulate artistic thought, and offer unique conversation pieces. - **Multifunctional Venues:** Opportunities to transform spaces into multifunctional venues that can host installations, music, and nightlife events, offering patrons a unique and memorable experience. - **Geometric Fantasies:** Opportunities to explore design possibilities that interpret the natural world and geographic formations in geometrically imaginative ways, captivating audiences and creating standout spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can take advantage of optical illusion interiors and multifunctional spaces, elevating the customer experience and brand identity, and setting themselves apart from competitors. - **Interior Design:** Opportunities for interior designers to create multifunctional spaces and explore imaginative, geometric design possibilities, expanding their repertoire and offering their clients unique and visually stunning spaces. - **Art and Culture:** Incorporating optical illusions and multifunctional spaces into artistic and cultural events can enhance the immersive experience, encouraging creative thinking and sparking conversations among patrons. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Warped Acrylic Bar Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/awt-bar.md) - [Energy-Saving Artistically Contoured Ceilings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contoured-ceiling.md) - [Light-Filled Alpine Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omarama-attic.md) - [Curved Translucent Experimental Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptors-apartment.md) - [Artful Listening Wine Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/goodbye-horses-1.md) - [Ethereal Ambiance Speakeasies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artifact-bar.md) - [Immersive Artful Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oveneck-33.md) - [Famed Paintings-Covered Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frescohallen.md) - [Sculptural Inverted Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-with-an-inverted-roof.md)
