# Adult ID Tags RoadID Could Save Your Life By Yolanda Solo | Published 2008-07-27 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/id-tags-for-adults-roadid-could-save-your-life References: [roadid](http://www.roadid.com) Anyone who [rides a bike](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radian-wingman), goes running or hiking, should not leave home without a RoadID. There is nothing high-tech about it. It just features your name, address and contact details laser engraved onto a tag which can be used with a wristband, ankle band, shoe pouch, or dog tag. Although it might appeal mainly to the fitness fans, there are other possible uses for it. For example, if you have an elderly relative who lives alone and is frail, they could wear it when they go out in case they fall. It could also be an [ID bracelet for kids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knog-scout-travel) when you take them on holiday or to crowded places. Sure, you could write your name and address on a bit of paper and stick it in your pocket, but it wouldn't be as durable or visible. You get six or seven lines to put your name, address and [emergency contact numbers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-safety-devices) on the original style. They also offer an 'interactive style' where the last four numbers give your rescuers details of how to access your Emergency Response Profile. This can include contact numbers, allergies, medical history, medical insurance details, address, photo etc. There is obviously the concern that you are laying yourself open to identify theft giving all these details - if you were unlucky enough to get found by the wrong person - but you choose how much information you put on there. Your profile can be accessed via the web or via telephone which also works internationally. The Emergency Response Profile is a bargain; it's free for the first year and only $9.99 per year after that. A small price to pay for possibly saving your life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Wearable ID Tags:** Opportunity for companies to develop wearable ID Tags as personal safety tools for fitness enthusiasts, elderly individuals and kids in crowded locations. - **Interactive Emergency Response Profiles:** Opportunity for tech companies to create secure digital platforms for emergency responders to access critical medical information of individuals in emergency situations. - **Personal Safety Products:** Opportunity for companies to develop new personal safety products that can be used in emergency situations or even prevent them from happening in the first place. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Health and Fitness:** Companies in the health and fitness industry can integrate wearable ID Tags into their products to improve user safety and security. - **Technology:** There is a growing need for secure digital platforms that can store and share critical medical information during emergency situations, creating opportunities for tech companies to develop such platforms. - **Personal Safety:** Personal safety companies have the opportunity to innovate and create new products that can help individuals stay safe in their daily lives, especially those who are vulnerable such as the elderly and children. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pet Safety Collars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-safety.md) - [Lost Pet ID Tags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/one-pet-id.md) - [Low-Cost Subscription-Free Item Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lost-and-found-id-tag.md) - [Personalized Pet-Tracking Tags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personalized-dog-tracker-findmy.md) - [QR-Code Pet Tracking Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ring-pet-tag.md) - [Luxurious Safety Bracelets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-safety-bracelet.md) - [Portable Safety Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/armorsiren-portable-security-system.md) - [QR Code Pet Tags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawscout.md) - [Modern Pet Tagging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qr-tag-system.md)
