# Movie Themed Ice Sculptures Frozen Harry Potter and Dumbledore By Sandra Winn | Published 2008-11-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/icy-wizard-icons-harry-potter-and-dumbledore-ice-sculptures References: [chinadaily.cn](http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/life/2008-11/19/content_7219567_5.htm) In November, the [Bruges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tableware-collection1) Annual Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival in Belgium began featuring [Harry Potter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/25th-anniversary-collector-set) and Dumbeldore ice sculptures, as well as other [magical icons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dr-squatch-x-harry-potter), in a frozen fantasy world. Sculptors always amaze me when it comes to details, like featuring Hedwig sitting on top of Harry’s shoulder as if he’s prepared to take flight. Also, it appears Dumbeldore is in the midst of a spell. Could the cat be Professor McGonagall? The Bruges Ice and Snow Festival, runs until January 11, 2009. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Movie-themed Ice Sculptures:** Opportunity for event planners and artists to create unique and immersive experiences for movie enthusiasts through ice sculpting. ### Where This Applies - **Event Planning:** Incorporating movie-themed ice sculptures into events, such as parties or festivals, can help create a memorable and interactive experience for attendees. - **Art:** Artists skilled in ice sculpting can explore the growing demand for movie-themed sculptures and offer their services for various events. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Hotels, resorts, and tourist destinations can attract visitors by incorporating movie-themed ice sculptures into their winter attractions, providing a unique and Instagrammable experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elaborate Winter Activities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-city-of-harbin.md) - [Magical Puzzle Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hogsmeade-village-collectors.md) - [Playful Wizard Toy Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wizard-toy.md) - [Winter Ice Sculpture Festivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mongolias-snow-and-ice.md) - [Wizard-Inspired Coin Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-royal-mint.md) - [Enchanting Wizard-Themed Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harry-potter-cafe.md) - [Whimsical Magic-Themed Parks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ministry-of-magic.md) - [Film-Themed Character Puzzle Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dobby-the-houseelf.md) - [Immersive Jigsaw Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harry-potter-jigsaw-puzzle.md)
