Incredibly contemporary, there is something very artistic about this approach that gives each piece a [sketch-like aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-series). Designed by Jan Plecháč, the Icons Collection is comprised of [chairs, tables and stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightness-of-form). The reason this furniture line is titled Icons is because each wire frame takes on the shape of an iconic piece of furniture, such as the Rietveld Read and Blue chair, the Louis XIV, Hoffmann Kubus chair and the Fatboy beanbag. Practical and good-looking, the Icons Collection will be very coveted by many decor enthusiasts. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 81% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Wire-framed Furniture:** The rising trend of wire-framed furniture presents opportunities for innovative designs and unique aesthetics. - **Industrial Design:** The growing interest in wire-framed furniture reflects the demand for modern and artistic industrial design solutions. - **Sketch-like Aesthetic:** The sketch-like aesthetic of wire-framed furniture offers a disruptive innovation opportunity to create visually appealing and unconventional design concepts. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** The Icons Collection and the wire-framed furniture trend create new opportunities for furniture designers to experiment with structure and form. - **Interior Design:** The wire-framed furniture trend provides interior designers with a fresh range of artistic and contemporary furniture options for their clients. - **Art and Sculpture:** The wire-framed furniture trend blurs the lines between furniture and art, offering opportunities for artists and sculptors to create functional yet visually striking pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wire-Accented Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/line-series-furniture.md) - [Bended Tubular Chair-Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wire-chair-concept.md) - [Reworked Steel Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barred-collection.md) - [Sophisticated Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ff-chair-collection.md) - [Minimalist Steel-Frame Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steelframe-seating.md) - [Waste-Incorporated Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-chairs.md) - [Thoughtful Contemporary Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-pipe.md) - [Human Form-Inspired Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tube-collection.md) - [Chic Norm-Challenging Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wiggle-collection.md)
