This DIY version can be made from home. The helmet was created after a year of research, designing, building and programming came together to form the production and eventually the creation of the unusual device. The resulting helmet has an [interactive light display](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sena-phantom) as it moves to the beat of music. The customizable device even has a Wi-Fi connection. The designers have shared their building guide publicly, allowing anyone to construct the iconic helmets. This project allows for design and development lovers to create their own interactive helmets that are so reminiscent of Daft Punk's signature accessories. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **DIY Interactive Helmets:** Opportunity for individuals to create their own interactive helmets inspired by popular culture icons like Daft Punk. - **Iconic Helmet Design:** Emerging trend of designing and building unique helmets with interactive features. - **Open Source Building Guides:** Increasing popularity of sharing building guides online to enable others to construct replica helmets. ### Where This Applies - **Technology:** Technology companies can explore integrating interactive light displays and Wi-Fi connectivity into helmet designs. - **Fashion:** Fashion industry should consider incorporating customizable helmet designs inspired by iconic cultural references. - **Entertainment:** Entertainment industry can leverage DIY helmet projects to engage fans and create interactive experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Generated Motorbike Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coldstar-art.md) - [Road-Ready Disco Ball Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disco2disco-disco-ball-helmet.md) - [Kid-Friendly AR Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ar-helmet.md) - [Illuminated Cycling Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illuminated-cycling-helmet.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Replica Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clone-trooper-phase-ii.md) - [Honorary Digital Musician Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gshock-x-pleasures-dw5600pdp1.md) - [Headband Display Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boinc-headphones.md) - [Music-Focused Game Collaborations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daft-punk-1.md) - [Sci-Fi Mecha Design Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gundam-headphones.md)
