The mouse features a body construction that is achieved using bamboo, which gives it a distinctly eco-friendly profile for consumers to feel good about and enjoy using on a daily basis. The mouse is also equipped with a series of microswitches that can be easily swapped out when they fail to give the peripheral a much longer life compared to other options on the market. The 'Icemouse2' bamboo mouse also has a replaceable battery and the world's first bamboo signal receiver to further enhance its sustainable profile. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Eco-friendly Computer Accessories:** Brands are exploring alternatives to plastic in order to create computer peripherals that are more sustainable. - **Modular Computer Accessories:** Designing computer accessories with modular components enables users to replace or upgrade parts to extend the lifespan of peripherals. - **Sustainable Signal Receivers:** Developing signal receivers made from sustainable materials like bamboo helps to reduce the environmental impact of computer accessories. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Technology:** Tech companies can utilize sustainable materials to create eco-friendly computer accessories that will resonate with consumers. - **Consumer Electronics:** By exploring modular designs for computer accessories, consumer electronics companies can offer products that last longer and reduce waste. - **Green Technology:** Green technology companies can develop innovative, sustainable signal receivers for computer accessories to appeal to environmentally conscious consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pine Cone-Inspired Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treemouse.md) - [Eco-Minded Gaming Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecologo-certified-gaming-mice.md) - [Sustainable Productive Portable Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebble-2.md) - [Health-Conscious Mouse Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergo-ergonomic-mouse-concept.md) - [Honeycomb-Inspired PC Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keyboard-and-mouse-design.md) - [Stylishly Functional PC Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waia-neo.md) - [Contoured Ergonomics Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-lift-vertical-mouse.md) - [Configurable Mechanical Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-mouse.md) - [Panel-Made Mouse Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beetle-acoustic-panels.md)
