The home boasts a glass wall that faces the glaciers; the kitchen, dining and living spaces (as well as the master suite) are arranged perpendicular to it in order to better enjoy the [panoramic view](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-yuri). The exterior of the home is outfitted in vertically-lined concrete, while the interior is furnished with a combination of teak and concrete, creating an industrial aesthetic with warmth. The wood continues out on the magnificent terrance. The architects note, "Doors and terraces are clad with teak boards that will gradually weather to a colour grade to match the seasonal moss and the broken concrete surface." The final touch comes in the form of an [infinity pool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lakeside-living) complete with a circular hot tub. There are few things in life that come close to enjoying breath-taking glacial views from the aquatic comforts of this beautiful terrace. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Glacial-view Homes:** Opportunity for architects and designers to create homes that maximize glacial views and incorporate unique design elements. - **Industrial Aesthetic:** Potential for interior design and decor industries to capitalize on the combination of teak and concrete materials to create an industrial aesthetic with warmth. - **Terrace Living:** Opportunity to explore innovative terrace designs that seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor spaces, offering panoramic views and luxurious amenities. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Design:** Architects and designers can leverage the trend of glacial-view homes to create unique and stunning residential projects. - **Interior Design and Decor:** The use of teak and concrete materials in the Arborg House presents an opportunity for the interior design and decor industries to offer industrial-inspired products and furnishings. - **Hospitality and Resort:** Resorts and hospitality businesses can incorporate innovative terrace designs and glacial-view amenities to create luxurious and immersive guest experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Off-Grid Oceanside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campos-studio.md) - [Hilltop Modern Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cloud-house.md) - [Coastal Island Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pasparakisfriel.md) - [Hillside Concrete Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concrete-house-1.md) - [Trapezoidal Concrete Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ksa-studen.md) - [Mountaintop Cantilevered Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levitae-house.md) - [Residential Mountain Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avber-house.md) - [Blocky Structural Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sa-hjort.md) - [Mountain Courtyard Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ski-house.md)
