# Easy Rider iPhone Cases The iBike Rider Lets Motorcyclists Stay Connected on the Road By Katherinev123 | Published 2009-10-08 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ibike-rider References: [cultofmac](http://www.cultofmac.com/ibike-a-mash-up-of-easy-rider-and-the-iphone/18067) & [gizmodo](http://gizmodo.com/5376341/ibike-rider-gallery/gallery?selectedImage=2) Allowing bikers to carry their [iPhones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/classic-c1) on them as they tackle the open road, the iBike Rider will make it easier to be an Easy Rider (and easier to reach one, too). The iBike Rider is an [iPhone case](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rokform-rugged-case) made specifically for “hog owners,” according to Cult of Mac. The weather-proof case attaches to the arm with straps and phone conversations can be piped into the helmet for an extra fee. All fine and dandy, but the iBike Rider reminds me of the scene in ‘Wild Hogs’ (starring John Travolta and Tim Allen) when the over-the-hill bikers decide to toss their phones in exchange for the media-free open road. Somehow that just seems more the style of an Easy Rider… ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Motorcycle Phone Cases:** The iBike Rider case allows motorcyclists to carry their iPhones on the road, opening up opportunities for similar protective cases tailored to bikers. - **Weather-proof Phone Cases:** The iBike Rider is a weather-proof iPhone case, indicating a growing demand for durable and protective phone cases that can withstand outdoor conditions. - **Helmet-integrated Phone Technology:** The iBike Rider case enables phone conversations to be piped into the helmet, suggesting a potential market for helmet-integrated phone technology for enhanced communication and safety while riding. ### Who This Affects Most - **Motorcycle Accessories:** The iBike Rider case caters specifically to motorcycle owners, highlighting potential growth in the motorcycle accessories industry. - **Phone Accessories:** The demand for weather-proof and durable phone cases like the iBike Rider presents opportunities for growth within the phone accessories market. - **Tech and Safety Gear:** The integration of phone technology with helmets, as demonstrated by the iBike Rider, signifies a potential intersection between the tech and safety gear industries for innovative product development. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Aftermarket Helmet HUD Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soulrs-headsup-display.md) - [Western-Inspired Tech Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/western-noir.md) - [Luxury BMX Bike Luggage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rimowa-bike-case.md) - [App-Controlled Motorbike Intercoms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motorbike-intercom.md) - [Rugged Modern Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugged-protective-case.md) - [Kevlar Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugged-iphone-case.md) - [MagSafe Leather Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leather-iphone-case.md) - [Noise-Filtering Motorcycling Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motorcycling-headphones.md) - [Augmented Reality Motorcyclist Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shoei-eyelights-gtair-3-smart.md)
