The featured Ian Macarthur artworks in the gallery showcase surreal, fantastical, and at times, cartoon-like themes. What's interesting about the details he puts in the animals he draws is that they look like they've had some [skin art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/86-tattoo-limited-edition) done. Macarthur creates this effect by highlighting aspects of their bodies with black ink in colorless drawings. Some of his [tattoo influences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blackdot-device) include Americana-style sparrows and the incorporation of Polynesian ink. In addition to his personal portfolio, Ian Macarthur has worked for big clients such as [Nike](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artist-logo-remix) and MTV Playground.
