# Fantasy Film LEGO Depictions Iain Heath Recreates the World of Hayao Miyazaki with LEGO By Jaime Neely | Published 2011-06-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iain-heath References: [buzzfeed](http://www.buzzfeed.com/fjelstud/hayao-miyazakis-films-as-legos) & [flickr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/ochre_jelly/sets/72157625146626306/with/4971143906/) Iain Heath is an extremely talented artist who has captured the characters from the various [Japanese films](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spirited-away-puddings) of Hayao Miyazaki as detailed [LEGO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fandomhonoring-building-block-sets) sculptures and scenes. Iain Hain has created over a dozen of these complex structures that depict various lands, characters and creatures from the films. The LEGO structures of Iain Heath depict the anime characters that, although unfamiliar to those who have not seen his film, are curious to look at and are extremely colorful. While I personally have never seen any of the films and am not familiar with the characters, they are rather charming and the LEGO structures tell me that the films take place in a fantasy land complete with demons, villains, superheros and plenty of critters! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **LEGO Fantasy Depictions:** Creating intricate LEGO structures to depict fantasy lands and characters. - **Anime Character Sculptures:** Using LEGOs to create detailed sculptures of Japanese anime characters. - **Film-inspired LEGO Scenes:** Recreating scenes from popular films through the use of LEGOs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Toy Manufacturing:** Collaborate with filmmakers to create LEGO sets that depict popular fantasy lands and characters. - **Film Production:** Partner with toy manufacturers to create merchandise that appeals to fans of popular films, such as collectible LEGO sets. - **Art and Design:** Explore the use of LEGOs as a medium for creating intricate sculptures and scenes of various themes and inspiration. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fandom-Honoring Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fandomhonoring-building-block-sets.md) - [Monster-Honoring Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/godzilla-lego.md) - [Artist-Inspired Flower Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/belgiandesigner.md) - [Reimagined Epic Battle Dioramas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-diorama.md) - [Artwork-Inspired Building Block Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-hokusai-the-great-wave.md) - [Artful Puzzle Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-wave-off-kanagawa.md) - [Anime-Inspired Extensive Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ensky.md) - [Toy Brick Reimagined Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wicked-movie.md) - [Japanese Castle-Themed Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/himeji-castle.md)
