# Athletic Mini Robots The I-Sobot Plays Sports Like Soccer and Boxing By Edgar Griggs | Published 2009-05-29 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/i-sobot References: [interestinglycoolstuff.blogspot](http://interestinglycoolstuff.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-sobot-robot-in-league-of-its-own.html) & [youtube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwfOZQfd6ZE&feature=relmfu) I really LOVE the I-Sobot. This is one of the [smallest robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-robot) that can still do really cool stuff, like box other robots, or play [robot soccer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/great-robot-olympics), or even help you out with your gaming system (that takes a little bit more programming). This [miniature robot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toy-robot-concept) can even be programmed with voice commands so you can speak to it, and have it do things. You can also program a series of moves, so you can even have it dance for you. There are so many things you can do with the I-Sobot that you have to check it out yourself to get the full effect. In the meantime, check out the video showing some of the things the I-Sobot can do. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Miniature Robotics:** Discover disruptive innovation opportunities in creating smaller, more versatile robots for various applications, such as sports and gaming. - **Voice-controlled Technology:** Explore the potential of voice commands in programming robots and creating more interactive and user-friendly experiences. - **Multi-functional Robots:** Uncover opportunities for robots that can perform a wide range of tasks, from playing sports to assisting with daily activities. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Robotics:** The robotics industry can develop and market miniature robots designed for sports, gaming, and other interactive applications. - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics companies can integrate voice-controlled technology into their products, offering a more intuitive and convenient user experience. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can utilize multi-functional robots to enhance performances and create captivating experiences for audiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Soccer-Dribbling Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soccerdribbling-robot.md) - [Programmable Pocket-Sized Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kt2-kungfu-turtle.md) - [Diminutive Quadruped Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quadruped-robot.md) - [Diminutive DIY Desktop Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-desktop-robot.md) - [Human-Sized Interactive AI Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/menteebot.md) - [Adorable Miniature Security Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ebo-x-robot.md) - [Diminutive Bipedal Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bipedal-robots.md) - [Voice-Controlled Robot Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voicecontrolled-robot-dog.md) - [Evolving Robot Dog Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petoi-bittle-x.md)
