# Robot Clones When iRobot Meets the Wax Museum By subzero | Published 2007-06-24 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/i-robot-meets-the-wax-museum-which-one-is-the-dummy References: [mydomainnamesucks](http://mydomainnamesucks.com/i-robot-meets-the-wax-museum-super-human-robot/06/20/2007/) & [xsm.cn](http://www.xsm.cn/xsmEn/about_jj.asp) I was really amazed by this guy. He is a very talented sculptor who has made basically a clone model of himself and fitted it with robotics. I can see this as being the next big "toy" for millionaire's. The creator, Zou Ren Ti, features the design on his website (xsm.cn), but he does not have any video. I found this one on youtube submitted by artfuture.com (Very Cool Site). Check out the video and forward it to almost the end to see the robot moving. I bet we will see a lot more of similar things in the near future. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Robot Clones for Personal Use:** Creating high-end, personalized robot clones for the wealthy could be a lucrative new market. - **Robotic Artistry:** The merging of robotics and art could lead to new forms of expression and entertainment. - **Remote Control Robots:** Remote control robots, or avatars, could become an increasingly popular way to interact with the world. ### Who This Affects Most - **Toy Manufacturing:** Toy manufacturers could tap into the market of creating and selling personalized robot clones for personal use. - **Art and Design:** The intersection of robotics and art could create new opportunities for artists and designers to innovate. - **Communications and Technology:** The use of remote control robots or avatars could disrupt the way we interact with others, especially in terms of business and communication. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Programmable Robot Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-robots.md) - [Futuristic Humanoid Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyberone.md) - [Diminutive DIY Desktop Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-desktop-robot.md) - [Humanoid Robot Technologies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/advanced-humanoid.md) - [Robotic Character Watch Winders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automatic-watch-winder.md) - [Interactive Customizable AI Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jizai.md) - [Musculoskeletal Robot Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-dog-design.md) - [Next-Gen Humanoid Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tesla-optimus-gen-2.md) - [Innovative Robotic Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engineai-robotics.md)
