These [vinyl decals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unpaint) give your walls that extra flair and let you add a piece of your personality to your home decor. My favorite piece from this line is the hypnotic tunnel staircase (the first picture in the gallery) that has a mind-boggling psychedelic style that will make you dizzy. However, pair it with a [colorful arm chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel1) or red leather sofa and your living room will be hip and chic with only a little taste of crazy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Vinyl Decals:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop customizable vinyl decals for a variety of surfaces, such as furniture or appliances. - **Personalized Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create technology-driven solutions that allow consumers to easily personalize their home decor, such as smart home systems that automatically adjust wall decals based on user preferences. - **Mind-boggling Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore augmented reality or projection mapping technologies to create truly immersive and mind-boggling wall decal designs. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop digital platforms that connect consumers with interior designers specializing in unique wall decal designs. - **Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with wall decal manufacturers to integrate customizable vinyl decals into furniture design, allowing customers to easily change the look of their furniture. - **Augmented Reality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine augmented reality technology with wall decals to create interactive and dynamic visual experiences in both residential and commercial spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vibrant Tile Stickers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vinyl-tile-stickers.md) - [Removable Stained Glass Films](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stained-window-decals.md) - [Removable Tile Decals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chasing-paper.md) - [Graphic Wallpaper Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-surfaces.md) - [Psychedelic Hand-Painted Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-iii.md) - [Folk Art-Inspired Wallpapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/backdrop.md) - [Marble-Patterned Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychedelic-interior.md) - [Ultra-Slick Functional Home Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/functional-home-accessories.md) - [Customizable Kids Wall Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodleface.md)
