# Abode-Shaped Illuminators The Hut Pendant Light Quirks Up and Brightens Your Room By Jason Soy | Published 2011-06-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hut-pendant-light References: [designerblog.it](http://www.designerblog.it/post/11233/hut-pendant-light-le-lampade-degli-australiani-under?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:) & [autumnproducts.au](http://autumnproducts.com.au/) With the new [Hut](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-never-hut) Pendant Light, you can light up your house with a house! These kooky illuminators come courtesy of Autumn Products and is shaped like the houses kids used to draw in kindergarten. The design of the Hut Pendant Light is rather simplistic, with little to no details in order to optimize light output. They're made from [powder-coated steel and translucent acrylic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-glow-light) and come bunched together in blue, black, white, and yellow varieties. The Hut Pendant Light actually reminds me of mobiles that parents normally hang atop infant cribs, only this can be used in any room and even outdoors for [porch lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinno). I sure wouldn't mind owning these to spice up some of the more boring rooms in my house. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **House-shaped Lighting:** The trend towards design-focused lighting fixtures that stray from traditional shapes opens up opportunities for innovative and unconventional lighting designs. - **Simplified Lighting:** The use of simplistic designs in lighting fixtures increases energy efficiency and optimizes light output. - **Versatile Lighting:** Indoor-outdoor lighting capabilities provide opportunities for lighting solutions that are flexible and can be used in various contexts. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can embrace the trend of unconventional lighting fixtures to create unique and aesthetically pleasing spaces. - **Construction:** The construction industry can include versatile lighting in architectural plans to provide functional and stylish lighting options for homeowners. - **Outdoor Living:** The trend towards indoor-outdoor living spaces combined with versatile lighting options create opportunities for companies to innovate in outdoor lighting design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dazzling Polyhedral Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puff-pendant-lights.md) - [Stacked Illuminator Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/konnect-pendant-light.md) - [Outlet-Equipped Workstation Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avro-pendant-lamp.md) - [Recycled Material Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zbozhzha-pendant-light.md) - [Plant Pod-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-inspired-pendant-light.md) - [Enchanting Hanging Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hf-series.md) - [Mixed Material Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gant-pendant-lights.md) - [Bakery-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/croissant-pendant-light.md) - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md)
