# Minimalist Rocking Horses The Hut-Hut Kids is the Most Fun That You Can Have With a Stump By Michael Hines | Published 2010-07-02 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hut-hut-kids References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/hut-hut-kids-a-rocking-horse-for-the-21st-century/15537/) & [kalonstudios](http://kalonstudios.com/hut-hut-kids.html) I am not sure what to make of the Hut-Hut Kids rocking seat. This stump of finely crafted wood from Kalon Studios is eco-friendly, as it's made out of FSC approved wood. It also looks pretty fun to ride. The Hut-Hut Kids is a contemporary rocking horse if I ever saw one. This rocking horse can also double as an awesome piece of furniture. Every child should have one of these in their rooms. Get with it or get lost, kids. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Eco-friendly Furniture:** The Hut-Hut Kids uses FSC-approved wood, opening opportunities for a line of eco-friendly furniture. - **Contemporary Rocking Toys:** The Hut-Hut Kids offers a modern twist on a classic toy and can inspire more contemporary rocking horse designs. - **Multi-functional Children's Furniture:** The Hut-Hut Kids serves as both a play item and a piece of furniture, spurring innovation in the multi-functional children's furniture industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Toy Industry:** The Hut-Hut Kids represents innovation in the toy industry by offering a contemporary take on a classic toy. - **Furniture Industry:** The Hut-Hut Kids represents innovation in the furniture industry by being a multi-functional, eco-friendly piece of furniture. - **Sustainable Materials Industry:** The FSC-approved wood used in The Hut-Hut Kids presents opportunities for the growth of sustainable materials industry that can be used for quality furniture. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sleek Structural Rocking Horses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rocking-horse-chair.md) - [Horse-Inspired Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-falabella-stool.md) - [Youth-Ready Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ready-rocker-1.md) - [Kids Modern Step Stool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/totto-step.md) - [Functional Decorative Rocking Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rool-stool.md) - [Olive Pit-Constructed Kids Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nontalo.md) - [Wheeled Bright Stumpy Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stump-stool-1.md) - [Dynamic Movement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wobbl-rocking-chair.md) - [All-Ages Portable Rockers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ready-rocker.md)
