The desk maintains a three-foot size that won't require an entire room to be used and instead will transform a small corner into a feature-rich spot to get work done. This accommodates the increased number of professionals who have been forced to transform their existing urban living space into a place to get work done full-time during the ongoing pandemic. The Humanscale eFloat One desk has a motorized, height-adjustable design that will easily shift from [sitting to standing mode](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-bean-standing-desk) in mere moments to keep a person feeling agile as they work. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Height-adjustable Desks:** There is an opportunity for furniture manufacturers to create compact, adjustable desks like the Humanscale eFloat One to accommodate remote workers in smaller living spaces. - **Transformable Furniture:** Designers can create furniture for small spaces that transform to provide functionality, such as small desks that convert into dining tables or storage units. - **Flexible Workstations:** The ongoing pandemic has forced professionals to work from home, creating a need for flexible workstations that can easily adapt to different room sizes and layouts. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** Furniture manufacturers can create and market adjustable, compact furniture for small living spaces to meet the needs of remote workers. - **Design:** Designers can create fashionable and functional transformable furniture for small apartments and houses. - **Home Office Supplies:** Home office supply companies can offer a range of flexible, space-saving workstations for remote workers who require a comfortable office space in their small living quarters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Moveable Small Space Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanscale-float-micro.md) - [Small Space Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanscale-float-mini.md) - [Gesture Control Smart Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autonomous-smartdesk-levitate.md) - [10-in-One Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-desk-by-oselem-design.md) - [Space-Saving Foldable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-desk1.md) - [Adjustable Modern Work Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spout.md) - [Floor-Sit Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uppeal-desk-lshaped.md) - [Hybrid Schedule Workstation Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanex-x3.md) - [Ergonomic Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-standing-desks.md)
