This innovative design aims to streamline computer peripherals in such a way as to reduce the waste and manufacturing costs associated with making PCs. The HP LiM's 19" monitor is a [transparent OLED touchscreen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visual-instruments-phantom) that can slide down nearly parallel to your work surface. A virtual trackpad eliminates the need for a mouse and simultaneously saves space on the wireless keyboard. The HP LiM is designed by Jeffrey S. Engelhardt. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Luxury](https://www.trendhunter.com/luxury) > [Luxury Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/luxuryfashion) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Transparent OLED Monitors:** Companies can explore the use of transparent OLED monitors to make more sleek and minimalist computer designs. - **Virtual Trackpads:** Virtual trackpads can be integrated into more computer designs to save space and reduce the need for additional peripherals. - **Sustainable Computer Design:** Designs that prioritize sustainability and reducing waste and manufacturing costs can attract consumers who prioritize eco-friendly products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Computer Manufacturing:** Computer manufacturers can explore more sustainable and minimalist designs to reduce waste and manufacturing costs. - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics companies can incorporate virtual trackpads and transparent OLED monitors in various products to attract minimalist consumers. - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers can create workstations specifically optimized for minimalist computers, reducing the need for excess space and peripherals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Working Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindset-builtin-computer-desk.md) - [Gaming Console-Inspired Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-windows-pc.md) - [Keyboard PC Hybrids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1999-keyboard-pc.md) - [Keyboard PC Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hp-eliteboard-g1a.md) - [Sleekly Conceptualized All-in-One PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ws1-workstation.md) - [All-in-One Workstation Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lt1-laptop-concept.md) - [Projection-Style Computer Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-go.md) - [Ultra-Efficient Keyboard PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pentaform-abacus-pc.md) - [Design-Conscious Mini Desktop PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ayaneo-mini-pc-am03.md)
