Very literally Keith Dixon is bringing the idea of [Star Wars home furnishing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray) down to earth, but not close enough to touch, because his range of household furniture will allow you to hover off the ground. This remarkable [futuristic furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polarisgo-chair) would be fashioned with a see through acrylic seat using magnets attached to the base and bottom of the seat which would repel each other away giving you that floating sensation. The lounger would be adjustable for a height of up to 14 inches using connecting rods which also act as a stabilizer, restraining the seat from repelling sideways. Set to be released on the market in March this piece of [hover furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hover-dog-bed) will cost you $11,500! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Magnetic Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop magnetic furniture designs that offer the floating sensation to consumers. - **Futuristic Home Furnishing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a range of stylish, futuristic furniture options for the home. - **Height-adjustable Loungers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Invent height-adjustable loungers that provide customizable comfort and stability. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate magnetic technology into furniture manufacturing to create unique, floating designs. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore futuristic designs and concepts to revolutionize interior design in homes and offices. - **Luxury Goods:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop high-end, exclusive hover furniture offerings for the luxury goods market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Otherworldly Themed Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-rocking.md) - [Intergalactic Gamer Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starfield-x-tempur-dream-chair.md) - [Sci-Fi Gaming Chair Covers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secretlab-star-wars.md) - [Supercar-Inspired Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-lamborghini-furniture-pieces.md) - [Space Travel-Inspired Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerospace-seat-spn01.md) - [Floating Component Dining Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-top-chair.md) - [Responsive Recliner Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/davidhugh-aiora.md) - [Celestial Silkscreened Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vanity-fair-xc-armchair.md) - [Maximalist UFO Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-saucer-coffee-table.md)
